Nita Saroeun
Khmer teacher for foreigner since 2019
My name is Nita Saroeun and I’m an enthusiastic and professional Khmer teacher. I have been teaching Khmer to foreigners from all kinds of nationalities for years. Before becoming a Khmer teacher for foreigners, I worked with Teach for Cambodia, where I learned important teaching skills. I am experienced in both online and face to face teaching. This is what my students say about me:
‘What I like about Nita’s classes is that she knows and shares a lot about the country. Therefore, I learn Khmer and Cambodian culture at the same time.’
‘Before I met Nita, I had another teacher but it didn’t work well. My old teacher didn’t adapt her level of speaking and teaching to my level so I didn’t understand and couldn’t learn much. Nita is very capable in adapting her level of speaking and teaching to her students’ level which makes learning easy and efficient.’
‘Learning with Nita is fun. We laugh so much. It makes me forget I’m studying, but I’m learning a lot.’
‘I really enjoy our outdoor classes. We go to the market together or to a museum. Nita motivates and supports me to speak with other people, which helps me to get more comfortable in interacting with the people around me.’
